Couple great things I have learned from watching the 50 Entrepreneurs Share Priceless Advice and I would love to share those with you all. According to all 50 entrepreneurs, I have summarized them into four important questions you need to ask yourself before you execute your great ideas.
- What are my purpose and beliefs on doing/creating this?
- Do I want it, believe it, and love it? Will I have fun doing this?
- Do I want this to exist in the world? Does the world needs this? Is this super meaningful and important?
- Am I willing to fully commit (emotional, mental, physical, and financial investment) to this regardless of what others might tell me and the amount of mistakes I will make in the future?
If you say YES to all of the above then you should put your ideas into action as soon as possible because the world has been waiting for you to shine and contribute! To elaborate a little more on those four important questions. (1) Simon Sinek mentioned that we all know what you can do, some know how to do what they do, but very few knows why they do what they do. Look for the reason, the purpose, and beliefs behind what you are doing and creating, this will keep you going no matter what happened. Guy Kawasaki mentioned that you have to believe it enough first, and then you will see it. (2) Steve Wozniak reminded folks to do what you love and passion about, it will drive you to think and make it better. Steve Jobs said that if you are not having fun with what you are doing, you gonna give up sooner than later. (3) Danae Ringelmann mentioned that don’t just think about the quickest way to success or to get big, but think about what you can contribute to the society and something the world really need. (4) You have to be 100% committed to what you are doing and be OK with making mistakes and experiencing failures. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. Be able to handle self-blame, self-doubt, self-criticism and practice self-comforting, self-reassurance, and self-encouragement.
Takeaways: Ask yourself the meaning of what you are doing and what you are about to do. Take full responsibility of your life and your decision. Do what you love and have fun with it.
